The Theme Tune

  • First draft Tradesville Theme Tune (video at 'Home')

  • Recorded at Mill Farm Studios by The Tradesville Team

  • For the next iteration:

    • Team members will sing their sections in character so that the character’s voices can be heard, including the female voice of Jacky.

    • Instruments will be replaced with the sounds of tools - e.g. drums replaced with the sound of hammer strikes, light switch flicks, sandpaper etc.

The Opening Title Sequence

  • Opening with the Trades having their morning coffee/healthy breakfast- split screen for each of the Trades

  • Barry The Bodger on  the last split section- fast asleep on his sofa next to his unfinished dinner from the night before and his Xbox controller on his chest.

  • Launch into the Tradesville Theme Tune. All Trades heading to site office for morning briefing as a team.

  • Aerial shot in the site office with the trades looking at a blueprint with the Tradesville logo marked out in white.

  • End - Barry The Bodger’s Van comes screeching to a halt on site, casually saying ...“What did I miss?”... the programme then starts

The Intro & Example Episodes

Introduction:

At the heart of Tradesville are ‘Jack & Jacky of All Trades’ and their trusty canine companion, ‘Jo-Jo’. Together, they navigate the challenges presented by ‘Barry the Bodger’, a lovable, clumsy antagonist notorious for his "bodge jobs." Comical adventures follow the larger-than-life characters including ‘Pippa the Plumber’, ‘Callum the Carpenter’, ‘Mike the Mechanic’, ‘Eddy the Electrician’, and ‘Pablo the Painter’, as they tackle Barry's mishaps. Each episode carries a key take-away message, fostering a fun and safe environment in Tradesville.

The Tradesville Foundations

Tradesville is built on the following core values:

  • EDUCATING children - to the trades & tools, sparking their interest and curiosity into the world of different trades. We have done this by placing real life scenarios/challenges into the heart of the stories

  • SAFETY- The focus on completing tasks the right way...Unlike “Barry the Bodger”!

  • DIVERSITY - the importance diverse communities bring to today’s society whilst emphasizing on  equal rights. Diversity is a recurring theme across the Tradesville storyline promoting respect and inclusion.

  •  MENTAL HEALTH - We are very passionate about encouraging children to talk about their mental health. This has been carefully incorporated into the episodes; we see this when the characters check up on each other, highlighting the importance of being there for each other.  We are unaware of any other children's series/programs that cover this as part of their core ethos.

  • RENEWABLE ENERGY- With the current climate we feel it is extremely important to cover the topics of looking after our planet and ways we can do this. Again we are unaware of any other children's series/programs that cover this as part of their core ethos.
